non turbo intake

Can anybody please tell me if this intake will fit my car. I have 95 850 turbo, this listing says 99/00 s70 2.4 non turbo intake. Thanks

I would think it would not fit. Different throttle body construction and location.

Thanks for the input. I'm doing it for the performance part of it, better air flow. Ive read it on many posts but not sure of years that will fit.

There are 2 turbo intakes that I am aware of, but they basically go to the same place from the airbox which is in the same place.

NA motors are different and all 93-98 NA are the same if I recall and 99-00 are different.

Thanks Neil , ya I have been checking around other threads and you are right. They say it really doesn't help performance that much and some say its not worth doing. thanks again

The intake pipe to the turbo is available which is less restrictive and will allow more air through. Depending what else you plan to do I would consider this a visual improvement only unless you plan a 'tune' first.

Yes I have a ard blue tune with many other things. I think I am just wanting to get all I can out of tune. The tune requirements were 3'' downpipe, catback exhaust, green injectors and 18t or higher turbo. I went with 18t which now I regret because its not big enough to go higher in hp and I do. Another reason I was thinking of n/a manifold and throttle plate.

I would advise you to upgrade the intercooler first. One of the port on the stock intercooler is 2 inch.

Stock turbo throttle body is 2.5 inch, the n/a throttle body is 3 inch. The bottle neck would be the intercooler first, not the throttle body.

Thanks for the input. I do have a do88 drop in and the rip kit here waiting to go in. I guess if I was going to down the car I wanted lots to put on for improvement . Another modification I was looking into was a larger maf. I just cant relate to why it would help that much. The same amount of air is passing through it whether its small or large bore, but again I don't know.

Is your car a manual or auto? How much power are you trying to get? The auto trans are only rated to about 320bhp if I recall, whereas the manual can go way higher.

18T is a good turbo to have. My V70R has the 19T but it is slow to spool up and torque low down is only good as I have the 5 speed auto which has great ratios at lower speeds. You may be able to hybridise your turbo but I am no expert on those. Try ARD or Vivaperformance who are helpful in that area.

There are debates here on ARD tunes not being what they are claimed to be. There have been a couple of threads recently with altenates that seem to be good. I have a RICA tune in my car and it is ok, but has never been the same since the Volvo dealer wiped it in error. The re-load just doesn't feel like it has the same urgency.
