BCM in need of configuation

VIDA shows BCM needs conf. Is it something I can do or is it STEALER only

Is there a fault code? Is that module red in color in Communication and Network menus? In Network choose BCM. Are there 2 software part numbers there?

It means the Brake Control Module needs to be programed. You would need a Dice that can do programing and the correct software image for your vehicle. Can you do that?

The other options are, have your old one cloned to your new one by a Volvo dealer or one of the third parties that offer a BCM cloning service and Preprogrammed BCMs.

Thanks , Finally was able to work VIDA/Dice erased codes but they returned and dealer said they can not program it tried and faults kept coming back. Bought another BCM with VIN that seemed to match mine. Installed it but guess this one did not have DCTC so shows it will need programing but I do not trust the dealer they do not seem to be able to work with you, wanted $3700 for new BCM??? I have 180k on it and not willing to put that much into it. They seem to say older cars can not be fixed so buy new.

There are forum members who can port through the internet to your car and put the correct program to your BCM based on your VIN or preferably use the configuration from your old BCM (clone it)

Takes about 40 mins of online time and a small fee.

@precopster , can this sort of programming be done using the JLR Pro or only via DiCE? DiCE units later in production started having a high failure rate and are now rare to source...
