'91 740 with No "cycling" sound prior to starting
My 91 740 non-turbo used to start with ease but now if cold it is slow to start. It has new plugs, dist. cap and rotor. Prior to this problem there was a clear sounding of something "cycling" under the hood when you turned the key to start the car. I assume this is fuel related such as a pump of some-kind that gives fuel to the injectors prior to the start. This sound has gone away. Can anyone tell me what to look for and how to fix this issue?

There is a start injector controlled by a thermal timer. If either of these has a fault it makes cold starting harder. Not sure if you would hear a cycling noise but it is possible.
