Okay Gentlemen......I have a 2007 Volvo V70 that has had some issues with the radio. Installed when I bought the vehicle two years ago was the original (I assume) factory HU-850 unit. My car came with the Auxiliary function hardwired in the arm rest between the two front seats......More to follow on that. This summer the unit started making intermittent static noise. This used to happen every few times I would turn the vehicle on to now all the time every 7sec static feedback. I browsed the forum and internet with nothing specifically addressing MY issue. I replaced the amp under the passenger seat with no change. A couple of weeks ago I purchased off ebay a used replacement HU-850. I switched the unit out for my new used one and "Sweet Baby Rays" no more noise just pure music! I wish my issues ended there. My original unit had in the Source Menu (FM1, FM2, AM, CD, AUX). The new used unit has (FM1,FM2, AM, CD) NO AUX! So....Where did the AUX go and how do I get it back? Is there a VIDAS download I need? Any help would be great.
Cheers,
Joseph

Posting PM from JRL who shed some light on my issue! Thank You JRL!
The aux plug became standard in 2007s made after Jan 1 2007. The RADIOS were different. The used radio you bought is probably an earlier unit. Those have no internal aux out.
Nothing you can do.
You need to either find another used 2007-1/2 radio or install a GROM or a USA SPEC converter unit which allows for a wire to be routed out. You can route the cable and plug anywhere including inside the console.
It's more modern and will allow you to use older or newer devices or an aftermarket Sirius or XM. It also has Bluetooth (the GROM does).
No other choice, you can't make this radio to work!
