2 questions. One A/C related and one Air intake related

Post by HellFire »

Hi everyone! The car I drive and own is a 1990 Volvo 740GL B230F motor.

Ok, I have two problems I need help with. The first one is with my A/C.

Its got no leaks and we've had the charge level checked, its fine. My problem is I barely get any air blowing out. Having it on 4 (max speed setting for my car) feels what 1 (lowest setting) would. No matter what speed I set it to, it just doesn't blow what it should be.

Also, the air coming out of the vents is cool but not cold.

Second Problem:

I want to replace the stock air intake with a cone intake. However:

Look on the left side of the stock air box. See that small hose? Well I found out its purpose is to take in warm air for the engine to stablize when the outside temperature is below 60F. However, I live in Miami, Florida where there is not a day thats below 90F.

So, my concern is what to do about it? When I get a cone filter I won't have any place to stick that hose to :?:

Thanks in advanced!
