Oil consumption

My 2005 s40 n/a used to burn a LOT of Oil. I replaced the pcv Box and it got a bit better. Still burning quite a lot of oil. My 2000 S70 doesn't burn a drop.
What's going on here? Just accept it or is it something I overlooked?

I know your S40 is gone now but when you said a lot, what did you mean?

Likely the PO of the S40 didn't maintain the engine properly. My 2004 S80 engine with 160K uses no oil between changes. No Volvo I have owned has ever been a oil burner, but I change the oil regularly and have always done so with every car. June

Never got time to measure properly but it was several top ups up till the next oil change.
My S70 has 265K on it and doesn't burn a single drop of oil.

My S70 is approaching yours...'98 model T5...it has 262K miles on it and not a drop of oil either.
My '07 S40- same thing as well as my wife's V70 and my son's S60...
