I call it the "Winter button". It is used in snow or slippery conditions and forces the car to start out in gear 2 which has less torque hence less wheel spin.

W stands for Wimp Mode. It turns your car into a wimp has has trouble spinning out on ice and other slick surfaces. Which can be a good thing if you want to see tomorrow.

Well. It really doesn't do anything noticeable after second gear. Not they I can remember anyway. I never use it in winter either. Just being a bit lighter on the foot is enough.

It is not for you. It is for the type of person that goes sideways after a light rain floats oil to the road surface.

I thought I killed the car once. No, it was just a little bit of loose gravel or something on the short onramp (I stomped on it). Really felt like I blew the engine/transmission or something. Took a few seconds for my brain to process that the flashing light on the DIM was the anti-skid indicator and that no, I didn't just blow a head gasket or shish kabob the trans something major.

W stands for wounded. DTC stands for Did This Croak? (or was it supposed to do that?)
