ABS Module Questions/Advice

Post by BrianV70 »

2000 V70 XC AWD/SE 129,000 mi

I have a P1550, recurring.

Recurring ABS and TRACS and CEL lights. Go away, come back...

Occasional ABS feedback in the pedal (the chunky ABS clicking sound and pedal sensation)

Trip computer says "DISC" sometimes when starting car

Before I go ahead and order an ABS Module from Midwest ABS, is it pretty likely that this is the problem?

(vs. "throwing parts at problems w/o the proper diagnostic equipment and skills)

I really don't care about it at this point, and am only keeping the car another 6 months. But, its hard to unload a car with lights on the dash, and its an easy fix. The pedal feedback is annoying and a potential safety hazard too.

Thanks!

Yes - This is classic ABS failure.
Possibly due to a bad sensor, but
quite likely the module.

You can certainly contact him and ask.

And a reminder about language on MVS.
Please keep it G rated. Best of luck.
