2006 V70 R Coolant weep in block-- head gasket

So, I am loosing some coolant. It appears to be weeping from a seam on the back side of the block -- guessing at the head/block junction. Suggests a head gasket replacement is in order. Haven't done one. Big job? Should I pay to have it done? If so, what should I expect it to cost at both dealer and Indy rates? Dealer labor around here is $135/hr. Indy is $99/hr.

I have replaced a cylinder head with less than successful results.

Well , Marco has one that needs a head job too. It sounds like we need a couple of weekends in NJ scheduled soon.
