Hello. New to the forum from Wisconsin. Just picked this up about an hour from my house.

Everything looked and felt great during the 2 days of test driving... now it stalls at random coming to or at a stop.

Oh well.

159,000 my good sir.

Bought it from an independent Volvo mechanic bit he had so many other Volvo's he didn't have time for this one, but other wise no service history.

I followed Robertdiy's videos on what to look for and it looked really solid.

No rust, fires right up, oil, trans fluid, filters all look great. Handles beautifully. Paint is definitely that of a 21 year old car, Haha, but I have all the stuff for detailing/clearcoat correction, so I'm actually excited for a dirty car to make a detailing video of.

Havent scanned the engine yet or looked at the plugs. I'll do that after work today.

Start with the basics, tune-up, check fuel pressure, pcv, vacuum leaks, you'll figure it out. A lot of of people on this site really know their volvos and can be of great help. Side note: If you can figure repairing clear coat, please post.

All I know is to start with the simplest cheapest solution first. Haha.

I think the exhaust is stamped with "pilot motorsports"

The car shows previous titles in IL and FL.

Welcome to MVS. Good looking V70! Do the items on this list. We call it Stage 0.

Then if there's a problem we can zero in on it quickly. That list takes care of 80% of stalling/MPG type problems.

Man, you guys are great. I can tell already that I'm going to learn a lot. Dont worry, I know how to use the search function, so I shouldn't be too annoying. Haha.
