In my recent bad OUt of box quality issue (OBQ) spark plug, after diagnosis, I ran out Elizabeth the Volvo onto Route 32 for a high speed /load test

No BMWs were hurt in this test, although the drivers egos were. Scores of women in Miatas followed me home only to look dejected on seeing my lovely bride of 33 years

At 6000 rpm the power started pulsing with about a 3 Hz modulation and a sort of a chirp sound ...drrtp.....drrrp.drrrp.

I think this is normal rev limiting behavior...any comments, June?

Would it help if I tried this with my M4.3 T5M?
Just wondering because you should have ME7 and ETM and coilpacks.

I do have ME7 and coil packs. I bet all turbo cars rev limit the same way or close.

It hit right at tach=6000 rpm so that points to a set point of some kind

There is a lot of power in the 4000-6000 band in an HPT, by theway
