ccm problem or something else?

07 xc70, no defrost. blower goes to full nothing on dash. figured it was a blend motor. pulled glovebox and kick out. looking at 4 motors. only motors that seem to be doing anything are the one closest to the firewall at center, and the one on the right side. tried swapping new motor for each of the ones not working, nothing. Am I missing something? It would be nice to have defrost on these 38 degree rainy days.
Got VIDA but havent learned how to use it yet. Anything I should be looking for?

Additional question,
If the car doesnt have the original left or right rearview mirrors on it, would the lack of the temp sensors cause defrost or ccm issues?
