850 turbo exhaust

Howdy

I have 1994 volvo 850 t5 sedan with b5234T and manual gearbox. Im looking for dimensions of the extaust because I would like to buils my own from premade parts. I was thinking about 3" downpipe with 1.2bar boost (td04hl-15t) but what would you recommend for the rest of the exhaust? I will build dual pipes with single muffler (no cat)

Basicly does anyone have any pictures about dimensions of stock exhaust so I can approximately count how long pipes do i need for this? Has anyone else made own exhaust? Would love to see pics etc

There are several manufacturers who make or made sports mufflers for Volvo 850's, especially in Europe. In North America IPD used to make one. Vivaperformance may also have one as well as Eurosport in Canada. You may not get dimensions but at least you may be able to get an idea of what yo have to work with.

Otherwise I can only suggest going to a junkyard and buying an exhaust from a scrap car to use as a template.

I wish you luck and we would love to see how this works out. If you can work with stainless steel then I would only use T304 depending on what your plans are for the car. If you are going to race the car, mild steel may be more flexible and less likely to crack.
