What to look for when insurance covers the hail damage? What DIY tools are available to DIY?

My neighbor who grew up in a body shop would go at it from the back side. Just keep in mind the key is to nudge it a little at a time. Never try to do it fast in one or two pushes. You do not pop dents out. You nudge the metal back to where it should be.

There are no short cuts. No magic spells. Just a lot of elbow grease, persistence, patience, and attention to detail. That is why body work guys get the big bucks.

This DIY feels overwhelming over a finished surface. It appears, there are fewer at MVS with hail damage/repair know how.
I may check-in with a local body shop for their assessment and cost to restore it.

People can give you guidance but none can tell you how to do bodywork. It is an art form not a science.

I received some hail last night and now have some new dents in my 2001 V70. I am not likely to take any action. It already had faded trim and peeling clear coat.
Smaller dents have been known to pop out after hot sun exposure.

Insurance covered the hail damage, therefore a body shop job.
