Leaking oil on top of valve cover

I have oil on top of my valve cover on my 2006 volvo s40 2.4i engine. Could this be caused by the pcv system needing replaced? Hard to tell where the oil is coming from Thanks

Check the seal on the Oil filler cap.

@rebelman did you diagnose and rectify the problem? My Volvo V50 is also leaking oil all over the top of valve cover and the entire engine is full of oil.

From your other post, your engine is a diesel so completely different from the 2.4 petrol.
