2006 volvo S60 T2.5
What is the name of the bar inside the engine compartment by the firewall.
it goes almost the length of the engine and from fender to fender direction
looks like the bushings need replacing but i need to know what it is.

The name of the bar is Torque rod. On the 2006 S60 it is Volvo Part number 30671354.
The part with the large bushing that is also bolted to the engine is the Engine mounting, upper. If the last six digits of your VIN number is 459987 or lower Volvo Part number 8649597, 459988 or higher Volvo part number 30680770.
The large bushing can be pressed out and replaced. You do not need to buy the whole upper engine mount. But the again you can get a OEM Lemförder complete mount at FCP Euro for the same price as just the bushing.
