Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit P0026 Code - 2005 XC90 T5 AWD

I've had a recurring on and off P0026 CEL for a few months indicating it's the Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1. It just locked on and no longer resets itself. This sounds like a reasonable diagnosis as performance and mileage are down a little. The most noticeable symptom is earlier downshifts when climbing up into the mountains. I am a little confused by the Bank 1 comment, as with a T5, it is a single bank. I suspect this is just a minor flaw in the inexpensive Maxiscan MS309 reader.

I have about 170k on this XC90, always maintained regularly by me, run on Mobil 1, with regular changes and Volvo, Mann, or Wix filters. I am contemplating changing out both VVT solenoids give that they've been in there for 15 years and if one is worn or gummed up, the other may be close to the same. Or does the intake side usually fail first, while the exhaust side is rock solid? Thoughts?

I'm looking at some Dorman parts on Amazon. Thoughts on these vs, other aftermarket vs. OEM?
$93.51 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DV ... 0DER&psc=1
$104.18 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078X ... 0DER&psc=1

Lastly, from what I have read and seen on YouTube, it looks like a simple unbolt and swap out, although I've not yet found a video of this work on a T5 of similar vintage. I've also see a lot of timing belt related VVT posts which concerns me a little mostly because I don't have the tools that will work for cam timing the Volvo. Is this a simple swap out the old and the new parts or will I need to deal with cam timing?

Thanks in advance,

Jack
p.s. the code shown is "P0026 $0710 Generic" on a MaxiScan MS309

EDIT IPD show the OEM Part Number as 31355828 but does show the Dorman numbers as cross reference.
