Hi,
I have a '94 940 and I'm playing around with an issue I have with central locking and I was just trying to take out the relay to test it. I've removed the ashtray, and the panel on top of that to get good access, but I cannot get the fuse out of its slot. Are there tabs or something that I am not seeing?
Thanks
Edit: I meant to write that I couldn't get the relay out of its slot and not the fuse. RickHaleParker has posted an excellent solution below for getting the fuse out, if anyone has that issue and comes across this forum post
Note:
(For anyone reading, who wants to know how, remove the ashtray by lifting that "fuse" tab, then remove black cover gently from around cig lighter and unscrew the 2 screws, the panel on top should come right out. If I wasn't clear enough you can search around on here and other Volvo forums, there's a few places which have instructions, or If more instructions are needed, please reply and I'll try posting a picture or two.)
Relays...how to remove.

If it does not want to come out, rock the fuse tool.

Ah thanks for that reply. I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future, I didn't know there was a fuse tool. But, I apologise, I made a mistake in my question. I meant to write that I couldn't get the relay out of its slot, do you have any ideas on that? Thanks.
