Anti skid service required

Post by MDK »

Hey all.. So, the question is.. do I need to go to the dealership after replacing the clock spring to have it calibrated. If even I have vida/ dice? The prompt came up.. antiskid service required and many say that the most common problem is the clock spring assy. Thanks in advance MDK

Look first at the yaw sensor under the right front seat, see if it has corrosion on it
Also make sure the steering wheel is perfectly centered as you drive straight down the highway. If it's slightly turned to either side, it fools the stability control to think there is a problem with the system

Is this what yaw sensor corrosion looks like? https://www.ebay.com/itm/274532841668

They're no codes Chris.. just the prompt on the DIM.I went to Volvo yesterday and just to have the angle sensor re-calibrated... They're asking for 300$... with no parts installed. I have vida/dice not sure if that's enough.. MDK

Any time there is or was a prompt there are or were codes. That's how the prompt works. Use VIDA to get the codes, post up what they are.

SAS is common I agree but overall there are tons of reasons to get the antiskid message, so when you do you want to look at the set codes.

Unclear to me if the SAS requires calibration, worth it to continue pushing on that too question too.
