Rear brakes and handbrake pads question 96T.
Does the adjustment cylinder for the hand brake with star adjuster just sit on top of the speed sensor? As I disassembled, it all just fell out basically. Don't see any attachment, so held in place by tension of brake pads? Also I anticipate difficulty with the lower spring, pointers? Should I put it together off the brake plate then snap it in to place after, then tackle the upper spring? Thanks. Looking @ Abscate's pics as I work, along with you tube help.

The lower spring is the one with all the tension. Assemble the brake shoes on the backing plate with the lower spring in the grooves first, then get them into mounting clips on the plate. Finally, insert the adjuster with toothed adjuster to the front of the car on the LHS< to the rear of the car on the RHS>
Last step, put the small top spring into place with needle nose pliers - that one i easy

Got it, did just that and it worked fine. It took a bit to figure out the adjuster at the top of the shoes is held in place by tension generated from the shoes and from the small spring and that's it.

It would have thoughtful of me to point that out since you asked that question up top, apologies.
That’s the sort of stuff where you stop and stare , isn’t it?
Once or twice I’ve had trouble with the lip on the inner drum face making rotor assembly difficult, but since then I angle grind off the rust inside with a wheel, and flap disc the rotors to shiny and that goes on easy
