My 740GL blows steam out of the vents on the dash

Post by gamaod »

My 740GL blows steam out of the vents on the dash and the floorboard is soaking wet. There is also a hissing sound behind the dash. I can see no visible leaks under the hood, so where is this coming from? :(

Steam is a common result of condensation from using the AC. Wet floorboards are not. Are you losing antifreeze? Is there any smell resulting?

Yes, I am losing antifreeze. It also smells like anti-freeze. I can not use the defroster, because it will fog up my window. My AC compressor went out, so I have no air conditioner.

Heater core is probably shot.

Avoid breathing the fumes. They're toxic.
