850 Cruise Control not working

Hello,

I recently installed cruise control to my Volvo, but its not working.
I checked on the OBD B2 and got Code 211 Control module malfunction,

I am unsure what that means, i have checked the vacuum lines and switches-everything works as should-holds vacuum and releases when you hit the pedals.

I also have 3 relays and none of them seem to fix the problem

Any help is appreciated.

Well i would really appreciate any help

Now i had the relay checked by an electrician and he changed some components with new ones. The car now gives code 111 but the cruise control is still not working. I have done the hotwire test, pump works lines holds vacuum and activators do their job.

I am clueless what could be wrong

I do not know much about cruise control on this model, however some more information may help others help you.
Was the new cruise control system removed from another Volvo of the same year and model? Or is it an aftermarket generic system? A generic system may not be compatible with your Volvo.

It's an oem Volvo 850 cruise control. I removed it and installed myself when I found it in a junkyard. I am unsure of the year model of the 850 I removed it from but I don't think it should matter, as i have seen the systems working on all yearmodels.
