Polestar upgrade / optimization in excluded country...

Here is a challeging one...

I am a fairly new Volvo owner and very happy with my descision to buy a 2017 XC90 Inscription.

I am very interested on installing the Polestar Upgrade (optmization) (part number 31459915) on my car (Engine Code: B 4204 T27).

However, it seems it has some restrictions as I live and bought the car in Brazil. In this site: https://usparts.volvocars.com/p/Volvo__ ... 59915.html, for instance, it says: "Polestar Performance Optimisation. Excl. BE, BR, ES, FR, IT, KR, NO".

I checked with a local dealer and he said that, when he checks in his VIDA system for my VIN number, he doesn't see this software available for my car. We don't know for sure if it is because his system "address" is in Brazil or the restriction in tied to the VIN number of my car...

Does anyone have any guess or experience in this type of situation?

Can anyone think of a way around this?

For instance, if I have a US address VIDA subscription (since the upgrade is available in the US), and link it through a Proxy/VPN address as a US user, may I manage to execute the upgrade?
