Had battery disconnected now no fuel pump

Hey guys. In need of some help here. Have a 2006 v50 t5. Its my first volvo and I recently did a head gasket job. Put it back together and got the immobilzer code so I cleaned all my connectors and harnesses and it fired up. Ran a little rough and smelled a lot of fuel. I believe the throttle body hadn't adjusted yet but I killed the engine. A couple days later I go to crank it and it would turn over but not fire up. Drained the battery down in the process. Not all the way but close. Put it on a 24 hour charge and now when I put key in number 2 position the fuel pump is not kicking on. That might have been happening when I drained the battery as well. Was so anxious to get it going that I didn't pay close enough attention. It did fire up for a second today but def. Not getting fuel and died seconds later. I checked fuel pump fuse and swapped out the relay. Still nothing. I don't have the code reader or anything and not a lot of money to put in shop right now. Any suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

If you drained the battery way down it could take days to recharge if the battery is in good condition longer if it is not. Put it back on a charger for a couple of day. Then take it to parts store and have it bench tested.
