New member here. I have 2005, 5 cylinder, Volvo S40 (2.4i) and need to get the head replaced.
In a freak minor fender bender, some debris from the headlight shredded the AC belt which wound behind the crank cog and caused the timing belt to skip teeth
. This cause the valves to be damaged when they hit the pistons. Pistons are ok with only slight indents but now i must either have the head rebuilt or buy one remanufactured. I have been asked to provide the casting number of the head but cant seem to locate it. I found the engine type stamp on the head and that it "B5244S", but no cast number. Anyone have any idea on where this might be?
