tail lights

my fog light on the dash is on but I checked the bulb and it is good...and it works...my rear left brake light works if the engine is off....otherwise does not...when I apply my brakes the left turn signal does not work....otherwise it does.....I think I may have a short somewhere....any suggestions....thanks

Check the wiring harness at the back of the car. For a wagon, it is in the LH hinge area. Well known issue. Same with a sedan. The harness where it goes into the trunk lid can cause shorts. Had to repair nearly all versions of P80 for this issue.

I chased a similar issue once, turned out it was a bad ground in the tail light socket itself; when another light in the circuit was energised, it backfed. as a simple first step, try pulling each bulb out and having a look.
As Neil mentioned, the wiring harness in the wagons is a chafe point in older cars that get a lot of cycles on the tailgate.
