tail lights

my fog light on the dash is on but I checked the bulb and it is good...and it works...my rear left brake light works if the engine is off....otherwise does not...when I apply my brakes the left turn signal does not work....otherwise it does.....I think I may have a short somewhere....any suggestions....thanks I have a 1997 850 sedan
