After removal there is an increase in engine/turbo noise and also possible heat may be effecting the cabin air flow, so i want to repair it and re-install.
The outer black cloth has seperated from the grey foam layer that has completely failed and has turned into powder that can be brushed off.
Ive ordered some heat shield materials and "hope" to be able to restore the factory heat shield to as good or better condition.
Note: because of the engine and A/c pipes the heat shield needs to be cut in half to remove.
