Just in case someone has a handful in great shape... I could use one. The ones on fleabay look pretty beat up and absurdly priced. Thanks.

On-line prices look high, considering IPD sell a new fob for $70! Which fob do you have for your car. I can't recall if I have any but will take a look.

Sorry, did the check as I recalled seeing some fobs but discovered it was an OE Toyota one and the originals from my 2000 'R' (I am using a Viper system with rechargeable fobs now).

I'll keep an eye out for fobs at eh junkyard, but there are a few Volvo 'strippers' in town here that remove everything that they can that is easy to take or smash stuff to remove other stuff.

A new one is not cheap, but at least you would have something of a known quantity, with better distance for signals and a warranty. As most of these fobs are now 25 years old, the sender chips degrade with time so I have had to stand right beside the car and use multiple presses to get them to work. Worth considering!

I use robertdiys technique of rubbing the fob against the beard a few times and, voila! Can activate locks from quite a distance! Wouldn't want to do a controlled study, though. Fortunately, not enough of these cars around to make that very likely, so I'll just keep doing it and convincing myself it makes a difference. I'll find another fob eventually, thanks for checking.
