Hey Captain
These lines I speak of are smaller,, 1/4" maybe and run parallel to the rack. #21-#22 below. #21 is the actual one i have that leaking :( . I was prepping it for a coat of rust paint to maybe extend it's service life when i noticed the leak.
Dwg I posted is of a S70 rack but not for 1999 awd, Ours slightly different, example- No engine pad mount and line #22 runs to behind to rear of the rack.
Lines are still available for this one and line #21 is very similar to what I need but I'm just not sure they have the same flare type.

Ah, the transfer lines. They shuttle fluid from side to side of the rack as you turn

Those are indeed NLA in Volvoworld last I checked they didn’t even show as a part number.

They aren’t horrible to harvest from a junkyard if you can find the right model. AWD might be tough

I know what you're saying,,, I tried soldering them tonight!
Hahaha! What a joke! I may as well used bubble gum eh. But no choice really.
I'll try it this way until i can find a better solution.
Seriously I think a bubble flare would work in place of that O ring set up just need to locate the flare nuts with proper thread.
Then I can use copper line

If you have a pinhole on the straight pipe you can swage in a piece of replacement or do a tight hose bridge with double oetiker clamps

That's a straight thread, and not tapered, correct? It looks like the same setup as the oil cooler lines from my truck. It's got a name, and there are dies for "flaring" those, but I don't know the proper terms.

Would love to just splice a piece in but it's was leaking right at the turn before entering the rack.
I do believe it is straight thread,, technical name,,12mm x 1mm or so me thinks as far as i can gather from McMaster Carr..
Could also be just a straight metric thread I don't know for sure because I don't have a die in my set for that size although 1/2"-20 is very close... still digging
Let me know if you figure it out before me.
cheers
