Re: Shocks ?
Bilsteins have stiffer compression and rebound than stock. The B4s also suffered from having incorrect measurements upfront, putting the lower spring mount 15mm too high. This gives a weird rake to the car, and is very noticeable aesthetically. To my knowledge, after many years, this has yet to be a...

Re: My head is spinning - HELP please!1998 S70 replacement rotors/pads
GLT is a trim level in the UK/Europe. In the US it refers to the low pressure turbo versions of the 850s & C/S/V70s. Pads/rotors designed for the track can indeed be used 'on the road', but they're designed to operate at ppeak efficiency at much higher temperatures than you will feasibily mainta...

Re: How to restore the drip moulding (and in praise of plastidip)
Wagon molding is held on the same way. There is a cap piece on the end back there take it off first, then start popping the molding out of the brackets. In my experience some of the brackets it can be tough to get out the molding out of but if you work carefully you'll get it out cleanly. You can c...

Re: 855 tailgate harness and how to fix
Combine the soldering and heatshrink steps by using solder sleeves. Massively simplifies things and you'll never look back. As for the method, I too would be interested in greater detail than most posts cover as I believe some of mine are going. Most posts just state to remove the d-pillar trim (so ...

Re: Tape deck belt for an SC-815?
No need to overcomplicate it. Brand or whatever is irrelevant, just measure the length and search for 'tape deck belt', then match any generic item based on the length.

Re: POLL: Pro Parts Sweden VS Genuine Volvo
Just like the P80s, OE was Sachs up front and Boge on the back. Both are owned by ZF now and have been incorporated into same factory line, so whichever is cheapest or most available will do fine.

Re: 850 subframe conversion (c70 convertible )
I'd have to echo Chuck's thoughts. I didn't notice any significant additional NVH, though I haven't polybushed any other suspension components. If you can live with the current NVH then you'll be fine with the subframe conversion. In my experience, if you've just slapped lowering springs onto the st...

Re: what is that?
This is the item I mean. But on inspection it cannot be correct, as the bracket is mounted higher than the luggage compartment. Screenshot_20210304-094953.jpg Please also see attached the full catalogue of parts accessories for the P80s in the EU market, may be of interest to someone somewhere. X70_...

Re: 850 T5 - Running issues post fuel-pump replacement
Pulled the Walbro out before giving it the two fingered salute, and stuck a Bosch in. All works perfectly now, nice to see Made in the USA still carries the same heft it used to. It is borderline infuriating that I spent a over a week of evenings trialing everything bar the pump, only to find out it...
