1995 Volvo 850 Auto Engine and transmission Removal
>>> Click here to download the PDF of this tutorial <<< Things Needed • Parts: my dealer charged me $140 for all the below including tax; FCP Groton didn't sell the bolts (you can try calling) but with shipping buying from them would've saved me $35 on the seals alone. They sell OEM seals I believe....

DIY: 1998 Volvo S70 Timing Belt, WP, Cam Seals, SB Overhaul
DIY: 1998 Volvo S70 Timing Belt Overhaul, Water Pump, Cam Seals, Serpentine Belt Overhaul! My 1998 S70 with 150K had the TB and SB replaced at 65K (in 2004). At 150K , these are my observations: - The TB (Timing Belt) with 85K on it is still OK, has hairline cracks, but time to replace. - The TB fa...

Re: 1994 850 Remote Receiver will not enter Program Mode Solved
Solved Thanks for all of your help. I finally got all of my remotes to program. It turned out that the Alarm Relay was not completely seated, it must have jiggled loose over time. The alarm relay is the red one in the enclosed picture, basically located above your left leg when seated in the driver...

Re: Swapping Remote Module
It isn't as elaborate a procedure as it is on the '99+ versions but you do need the Volvo Scan Tool or the equivalent to mate the remote on a '98. The 850s are totally DIY and the '99+ are a software download. The '98 is in between but I think my local shop charged me maybe $10.00 to do it on my dau...

Re: 1996 Volvo 850 GLT - 2 step central locking (keyless?) entry
Didn’t give up on this and got the keyless entry to work on the ‘96 850 GLT. Found some helpful info here and used a couple of his photos for this post: https://volvo850wagon.wordpress.com/2014/02/23/90-adding-keyless-entry-part-1/ I did not have the black box receiver behind the glovebox. Removed t...

Boring out turbo manifold for n.a. throttle body
So I decided to jump in and try this. Basically I used a router to cut away the metal instead of a stone or grinder. I did use a small sanding drum to feather things out in the very end. The actual cutting time was only about 15 min. but the set-up took a couple of hours, it being the first time. Th...

Re: What glue to put the sunroof back together ?
I had to re-attach the clamps for my power windows to my driver's window on my Toyota Sienna a year ago. I too wanted to figure out what to use to attach to glass. All the research I did pointed to 3M™ Windo-Weld™ Super Fast Urethane Part Number 08609. huh.. just realized there's no "w" at...

Re: V70R beige interior code
The color code for a beige interior on a V/S70R is 3866.
I bought 2 bottom seat skin (part# 9424470) about 8 years ago and at that time the backrest seat skin was NLA. The truth is that I managed to buy new parts that were long time NLA.. Good luck!
