Re: Blue Face Instrument Panel Gauges

The gauge itself just uses an input signal. Your cluster will hold the odometer info. I don't believe you will need to synch the cluster. The bulbs are in holders that plug into the back side of the cluster. And it is the face and works of the gauges you will swap. It is really simple once you open ...

Re: Purge control solenoid valve noise

That's how it works,it is pulsing...usually at idle(or when ecu ask for it) will make clicking sound, indicating that it is working.
Nothing wrong with it...it works properly.

Re: Coolant Recovery tank

But save the heartache, just pop for the OEM stuff, Whiteblocks DO NOT tolerate overheating. don't play Coolant Roulette, as Robert calls it. The plastic quality needs to be there, and the caps do degrade, even green OEM ones. If your old one is 20 years old, how long will a new OEM cap last, 20 yea...

Re: Immobilizer question

So is there any programming requirements or anything if I end up replacing the antenna key ring/immobilizer with a new one? If that is the culprit? If you can find a good antenna ring, I'd throw that on. Frankly it's a great item to keep in the glove box. No programing required for just replacing t...

Re: Immobilizer question

I was able to swap a 1999 V70 immobilizer ring into my 2000 V70 and it worked fine. As always, I'm skeptical about 1998 or older in a 1999-2000. They're inexpensive to buy new and easy to pull from a junkyard. When installing, be careful when you separate the top and bottom plastic halves of your st...

Re: Immobilizer question

You can tape the immobiliser ring in place once it is in place if the tab breaks. The column shroud will then hold it in place. As it just senses the chip in the key the accuracy of position is not too critical other than to see where the key is positioned.

Re: Immobilizer question

This isn’t an antenna ring problem. Pulling that fuse is probably doing an ECU reset which helps the starting sequence. If cranking is inhibited on a 1999 or 2000 car, your light control module , 2/76 is not grounding your starter relay. It does this under microprocessor control , not a simple thing...

Re: Immobilizer question

Where’s the electrical on that? Does it push in the pin on the electrical part of the switch? There are no electricals on the tumbler assembly Scrubbing bad information from the internet. Inserting the key pushes a plunger on the key tumbler which pushes in a pin on the ignition switch electrical p...
