Sveedy wrote: 04 Jan 2022, 07:36Reference for others going down this road - $ 1900 for labor to rebuild upper and lower ends, inc all machine work ( boring, decking, machining crank etc ). Considering the quality and price, I will deal with the extended timeline.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Pretty sure the externals are the flywheel to torque converter bolts…

The hub only goes on one way, the crankshaft splines have an index which will match the hub

Re: Pipe corrosion, odd bolt, extra bolts ?

I just did my timing belt tonight, and both of the bolts in the lower cover were those weirdo bolts with the long shank. 10mm head, I think. As soon as I removed them, I was reminded of this thread. They even had the bit of red looking compound on the threads. Unfortunately, I chewed the head up of ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

When I was young in Taiwan we used to get worms through the faucet. This was especially shocking when washing rice with contrast and all. Water supply would get turbulent during storms. Worms are especially squeamish for me . Ants also as I was attacked and my leg was bitten all over and the s...
