Re: The happy CEM story *update*

Yeah you're right Brody, I'm sure the CEM will need a re build if things get any worse and I totally expect it will but til then I'll be using the 'ole toggle switch when needed. Like today, I made a stop after work and sure enough it happened again but just did the toggle trick and I get home on ti...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

18 months, wow. That’s frustrating. I did mine on the floor, but I think you could also do them on the car using the simple pipe method with a dead blow hammer. Diameter just wide enough to not pinch the ball joint boot. Ace Hardware. Don’t pull the ball joint up tight with the bolts - it’s aluminum...

br0dy519 wrote: 09 Sep 2022, 13:38 I’ve read there’s pretty big variation from aftermarkets to OEM for them, 0.08inch comes to mind from a post I saw. Might explain why it’s so hard for some brands to get pressed in. I’m going to use the freezer and iron pipe trick.

Re: Rear Caliper - 04 xc70

Heat those bleeders for 28 seconds before easing. Then replace with new ones every 5 years or so

You can bleed the caliper by cracking the brake line with a big catch pan underneath

Re: Help! Ignition switch jammed?

want to know the solution in case this happens to me! Well I did eventually figure it out after screwing around for another few hours. It turns out the video you linked earlier is slightly out of date for the newer cars. I already mentioned that the screws were different, but it turns out the...

Re: Tire wear- 2006 XC70

Perished lower control arm bushings are a common cause of this problem. In a static setting the alignment may be fine, but when driving the worn bushings allow a lot of deflection and can cause cupping or edge wear.
