Re: Volvo wiring diagrams ...where to find....
So you're saying if I were to post links to the '00-04 wiring diagram (also likely similar if not identical to the '99 cars), or to the 98 cars' wiring diagram, or to the 850 wiring diagram, that'd be okay?

Re: New 850. What stuff are a MUST to replace/repair if the maintenance history is unknown?
Thats why I always try and do everything myself - I've been stung like that too many times. If you do the job yourself you know exactly which parts have been replaced, and which brands have been used. To the OP - I've renewed the cambelt twice following RobertDIY's youtube video. Once on an 850R and...

Re: New 850. What stuff are a MUST to replace/repair if the maintenance history is unknown?
I haven't replaced a fuel pump, but I have replaced the timing belt components a couple times and replaced a couple of CV boots... My memory is that --for me at least-- those jobs were harder than most of the repair jobs I've done on the car over the years. I wouldn't recommend them as the first job...

Re: What OBDII Scanner Should I Get?
eightfifty2x0, To answer your question... I think most USA '96-97 850 owners probably use a scan tool >= 1 time per year. Since 2012, I needed to use a scan tool multiple times per year (while I owned my USA '96 850 T5 and/or '98 S70 GLT). If your car has the in-cabin OBDII port, and if you have an ...

Re: What OBDII Scanner Should I Get?
I suggest you PM xanthefin and ask him for a recommended tool. Tell him you're from Germany, so he knows you are ordering from Europe.

Re: How to remove the rear door window crank?
There are two threads on an UK Volvo forum that might have the answer, sadly the forum is currently down. When it comes back online I'll pop back, hopefully with an answer. Until then, hopefully someone else can solve it for you.

Re: What engine oil brand to use? Is "Volvo" engine oil better for Volvos than other brands?
...You mean turbo charged cars require a different oil that naturally aspirated ones? Generally....turbo engines should use full synthetic oil because of a turbo(it will last longer and will have better lubrication in all conditions). Non-turbo can use regular oil,semi-synth or full synthetic...wha...

Re: 1998 V90 Spark plug question(which ones)
Well the higher price is a kit so slightly over 10EUR piece. I am cheap and on 850 i recently went on cheapest Denso K20TT spark plugs. Technically slightly incorrect gap. But my problems of not starting in the end was at distributor being "gone" and rotary too inside it. My weared spark p...
