Re: VIDA resets after Tranny swap.
I pulled up VIDA for valve body work on your model. Not as easy as the 2.5T, but easier than the 2.9T. Basically the bulk of the work is removing the subframe. After that, per VIDA, it is just remove the valve body cover and do what is needed. I did some poking around and see solenoid issues and tor...

Re: VIDA resets after Tranny swap.
Circling back to adaptations, if one uses the original valve body on a different transmission this will cause problems. The solenoids have adjusted their patterns to adjust for clutch pack wear. Unless the wear is exact between the two transmissions, the transmission will either slam or soft shift ...

Re: VIDA resets after Tranny swap.
I just replaced a Valve Body on an S80 V8. Shifted perfect right after installation. didn`t bother with resetting adaptation. The fluid had been changed 1000 miles prior so the fluid counter was reset then ( close enough ).Don`t get a rebuilt unit for cheap, or get a rebuild kit. Part of the problem...

Re: N/A Cams in T5 engine

The tune was never quite right, so I couldn't say just how much they did, but paired with the NA intake manifold, TB, 19t, and greens, it p...

Re: High Volume Oil pump
The Volvo white block Oil pump is a Gerotor pump. I don't think there is any way to change the geometry and make a higher volume pump that will fit in the space provided. There is rumor that the RNC Oil pump is bigger. You might look into building a RNC block and install it instead of the RN block. ...

Re: Is it time for a new automatic gearbox ?
Big problem today with my Volvo S60 2.5T AWD :( Driving along when the car suddenly lost drive, just like I would shift to neutral. Now If I wait for a while the car works like normal for a couple of minutes and then loses forward and backward 1. The oil is in good condition and at the right level ...
