Re: Please help liberate this tie rod

You can put a small floor jack or bottle jack under the tie rod end and apply pressure upwards. This will seat the tapered tie rod shaft into the spindle and prevent it from spinning, allowing you to remove/install the nut with an impact wrench.

Re: 2000 V70 AWD 56 engine slow coolant leak

I had similar problem as 850LPT. A very slow leak where the plastic radiator side tank was crimped to the aluminum radiator core on the lower passenger side. I got a new radiator to install but it actually blocked itself up after a while and stopped leaking, I call that a win!

Re: 2001 V70 Gearshift Lever Won't Move

I had the same problem, it turned out that the release mechanism inside the shift knob was broken. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it would not. My wife called it "the worst getaway car ever". The shift knob is easy to replace, just grab it and smack your wrist with your other hand upwa...

Re: 06 V70 won't come out of park

You will need to replace your shifter knob- very easy 5 minute job. Something breaks inside and it will not actuate the release rod to get it out of park. At least that's what it was in my case.
