Re: New owner of a 2007 V70, big problems? The oil is real.
I want to thank you, jonesg and abscate, for your help on this. I will be ordering the new CHRA once I get the turbo off, which might be next weekend depending on how my schedule aligns. Luckily, I have a motorcycle and another vehicle that I can drive. Unfortunately, my wife needs the garage to ch...

Re: 99 S70 Turbo Lines - Has anyone replaced the banjo bolts?
a low profile ratchet from HF is the only tool I could get in there and remove banjo bolts.
From under the car.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
water in headlight. but the fix was simple. wife hosed all the pollen off the car, soon after the headlight fogged up heavily with moisture, remove the main bulb , insert air nozzle, leave the car in the strong sunllight with the air nozzle stuck in at low pressure, set around 5 psi., 20 minutes and...

Re: Another is it fuel relay or something else post. Fuel pump hose?
a cheap $15 "elm 327" from amazon hooked up to your smartphone can show fuel pressure at prime and run pressure.
if pressure is good then you might have a leaky injector causing the intake to vaporlock.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
I always feel like the thing you need to expand is the nut - you want something to expand to allow the PB Blaster to suck into the gaps. But in jonesg's case, if the rust is locking up the threads, I'm wondering if a thread chaser may help, but how would it fit in tight quarters? torch would have b...

Re: ECM-6805 - Overboost?
i'd test the wastegate function,
make sure theres a slight preload on the actuator rod, should't rattle around..

Re: Can I go on driving a bit longer with worn and worn a bit more tires or will I damage my AWD?
Thanks. I'm the one who put the bad ones at the back and the good ones at the front after I bought the car. I can't recall where they were before that but the previous owner had just switched his winter tires and put on these summer ones. I believe he kept track of where each one was removed the pr...

Re: Can I go on driving a bit longer with worn and worn a bit more tires or will I damage my AWD?
Thanks again. I know there's a worn component, either a ball joint of tie rod end. I'll have to get that seen to, or see to it before checking the alignment. You wrote earlier that my particular model doesn't have the same issue re needing exact same size tires as previous generations did. What cha...

Re: ECM-6805 - Overboost?
i have a turbo gauge on top of the dash glued to the A pillar, i can see the boost kick in.
it shows vacuum when driving normal.
it tells me a lot at a glance.
you might need to clean the turbo boost control valve in the air pipe near the turbo, it gets oil gunked.

Re: 04 V70 2.5t driverside CV Shaft
Aye I reckon that's what I'll do. But in the morning lol. If my luck doesn't change after some more trying I'll button it up with a new axle bolt and see what happens. If the vibration is gone I guess can let it ride till I have to replace the driver side. i changed the driver side upper strut bear...
