Re: 2006 V70 2.5t power steering rack leaking slowly

I correctly traced the leak to the hard/transfer lines beyond certainty. If new o-rings couldn't stop the leak, pretty certain "stop leak" won't. I'm guessing it may be a clog in the system or PS pump is putting out too much pressure. Unsure how to test :| Only have ever ran the recommend...

Re: Brakes problem, lots of parts changed

it might be air in the abs system, it requires cycling the abs valves as the calipers are being bled.
vida or a good scanner tool is required to do this.
once the air is pushed out of the abd valves the calipers have to be bled at each wheel to remove the air from the system.

Re: 2001 v70 T5 Hot start, misfires?, wont idle correctly

i was thinking an injector leaking into a hot intake, it can cause vapor lock.

leaking externally would ber vacuum loss, you can check by spraying a BIT of brake fluid or carb cleaner where you suspect a leak.
listen for idle rpm going up.

Re: v70 back on the road

examine the rotor faces thru the wheel spokes, run it and brake until the rust is gone.
check the temps of the disks, any that are sizzling hot i would clean the slide pins and lube, or do them all anyway.

Re: New V70 II T5 owner - introduction and general advice

Yeah the car is definitely driveable, for now it's just a minor annoyance. I've been turning the ignition on and off for 10 seconds at a time, about 4-5 times whenever the car sits overnight, and it always starts immediately. If it sits for just a couple hours, I can get by doing this just 2 or 3 t...
