Re: P0016 power train code, camshaft sensor wires?
Hopefully you can find the issue, but it doesn't do any harm to check the timing belt is timed correctly. When I had the head of I reset the timing per the standard instruction. VVT hubs were pulled off the camshafts in the process, so I guess that could be the issue. Is there a sensor or diagnosti...

Re: Possible Haldex Failure 2003 XC70
Its usually the angle gearbox that grinds the coupler sleeve. Unplug the haldex to stop the pump (or pull the fuse near the rear hatch),see if the noise goes away. Or drop the prop shaft to uncouple the rear end physically. Or remove the independent drive shafts at the rear wheels and unplug the hal...

Re: Fuel filter: WIX 33603 vs 33605
It looks like there are two Wix fuel filters that come up for the 2004 xc70. One is 6.5" long, the other 8.25 inches. Both look to have the same ringed/barbed fuel line connections. Is there a reason to choose one over the other? Do they both fit? I would ask the tech guys at FCP, I'm fairly s...

CEM-1A5F, bad communication with ABS, this can cause the trans problem too, it can be as simple as a bad ABS wh...

Loosen wheel bolts, raise the car, slip a wheel chock inder the tire from the side, lower the car, done.
Especially effective when the car doesn't run.

Re: Possible Haldex Failure 2003 XC70
Fascinating thing, I heard a lot about torque steer before driving for a while w/o my shaft, but I didn't find it to be really much of an issue. Don't know how this suggests my car might be broken. :-D Or maybe I'm not just sporty enough in my driving. I thought it was fine. same here, I don't drag...
