Re: 1996 850 Wagon Service Light On
When I did mine, it took me longer to get the wire routed and plugged back in, than actually changing the sensor. The sensor came out with no more "trouble" than the spark plug in my push mower. My car has seen very little snow/salt, However. When I did the o2 sensor in my truck, It was ha...

Re: 1996 850 NA Replace Front Oxygen Sensor P0133
15097 is what I bought for my 1996. It works fine. I don't recall if there were any physical differences between the original and new, or not. I didn't watch the video mentioned, although I did watch one of Robert's videos before doing the job. The connectors are definitely not what I'm used to using.

Re: 1996 850 NA Replace Front Oxygen Sensor P0133
I read about how experts watch the voltage from the O2 sensors in their scan tools in order to determine if there is anything wrong with them. I know nothing about how to do this and was wondering if there's a video anywhere showing what to look for and how to diagnose problems with O2 sensors. Sea...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I've checked coolant hoses. Little question. Can we use something different than these"f*%/0#1" torx bolts for the thermostat ? Sure, many here have swapped in bolts pulled from other places on the car, gotten from salvage cars. I had considered simply buying bolts from the hardware store...

Re: 2000 S70 SE Base Air Intake Flap
My 96 was similar to what you show.... half open on both sides. I swapped in the lower box from a Turbo car that doesn't have that. I'm not opposed to having it functional, but I didn't know how to fix it. Mine didn't seem to want to come apart, and I didn't know what might actually be wrong with it...

Re: Looking at a couple of P2s
So just to bring closure to this thread, both cars ended up going higher than I was willing to spend given their individual details. I did however buy another FWD P80. It's a 99 S70 and I started a thread about it in the P80 forum.

Re: 850 1995 Petrol 2,5 L 20S Exhaust manifold
It goes to the air filter box, which has a diverter door that selects between the heated air, and air from the front of the car. I removed mine due to a non-functional door.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Is that like one of those “Gator” multi-size sockets? I almost got one today. The Gator is the socket that looks like a spark plug socket filled with pins, right? I think he's talking about something like this: www.amazon.com/IRWIN-HANSON-BOLT-GRIP-Extractor-394001/dp/B0000CCXVZ I picked this one a...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I finally undid the two radiator mounting bolts with a combination of a grinder, oscillating tool and drill. It wasn’t pretty, and I’m not proud of what it looked like at the end, but it was a relief. 5F760CFA-0598-4E77-A362-6B9089A9403C.jpeg86AF0006-4A58-44C1-8D53-B43B52345393.jpeg Where did you g...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Is that clamp strong enough for the coolant hose? Looks like it could blow right off? I use a rolled edge Norma Torr worm gear clamp for that. No, not Oetiker so I can easily remove it (most important for the lower hose to drain coolant). The only time I've blown one off was when I pressurized the ...
