Re: 1997 Volvo 850 GLT Radiator Hoses Preventative Maintenance?
The upper hose would be easy, but I'm not sure the lower hose is easy. I've never changed mine, but doesn't it snake around the back and is basically a blind install? Seems like I've heard that Volvo used a couple different hose designs, too. That age/mileage is definitely getting up there for hoses...

Re: 1997 850 GLT Turbo is yellow coolant OK?
I found the blue volvo coolant to be not that expensive compared to local offerings when ordered through IPD.

Re: 96 Volvo 850 Engine rattle - Thoughts to cause?
That will be a 100% will do!! Again no idea if it was replaced last belt in 2016 or not. Original owner can't recall. I doubt it was. I am dreading trying to remove the pump bolts if it has been on there for over 10 years, or god forbid since new.................! Gulp!! Neil. When I did my 96, the...

Re: 96 850 Timing belt removal and water pump questions
I think I used Loctite on the bolts, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I'll see if I can find the instructions from my kit.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Very Good! I knew you'd figure the rest of it out, after you found that rubber piece on the plug.

Re: P80 engine cylinder bore marking
There is a range for good parts during machining. They're not all the same. I've never been involved with grading within that range, but I've heard of it before with engines/cylinders.

Re: (Simple + i * Simple) Key Fob Question 1998 v70
Yeah, was trying to help find a new case for member 454cid but it's harder than I thought it would be to find a new bare case like that one. Seems there are no new cases for 1996 850 that look exactly like the one pictured in figure A in that last image. Thank you. I never thought about checking th...

Re: ID these parts and what they are for!
The key fob case looks like what I have for my 99 S70. Mine are replacements now.
