Re: 2003 C70 steering lock jammed
On P2s there is a pot metal lock mechanism that can break and jam but is easily be removed. Not sure if these early C70s have the same. Pulling the column cover you can see if the plate is the same in the video below. Just dremel cut edges, pry plate off and remove pieces. Have done this on 3 cars, ...

Re: 2003 C70 steering lock jammed
You can get a graphite rub you put on the key which also helps loosen things up in the key slot. Neil. I found on three of my Volvos a lot of black gunk comes out when trying to free the tumblers. I did about a dozen spray/wipe key cycles and lots of in and out with the key to cycle the tumblers. W...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Those look beautiful. Unfortunately here it seems cost prohibitive, nearly same cost as buying new (aftermarket) wheels or like new used.

Re: 2004 V70 2.4 Sudden pull to right after hitting bumps
Definitely want to replace that ball joint, or at minimum seat it properly. If you remove the brake caliper, strut and tie rod a local shop could press new ones in for you for cheap. They are a bear to get seated without the right tools. That said—I doubt that is root cause unless the ball joint is ...

Re: When did you last have paid service for your Volvo
Those cutoff wheels also work well to hack off seized swaybar linkages that break two torx wrenches. Nuts come off easier when cut in half!

Re: THE CORRECT WAY TO REPLACE THE J HOSE ON A XC70
YOUR LACK OF UNDERBODY RUST IS OFFENSIVE. NO WONDER YOU HATE BUTCHERS.

Re: 2007 Volvo C70 Dynaudio Upgrade
May be worth looking at a powered subwoofer that ties into the existing speakers. Trunk space is obviously tight with the top down.
Unfortunate the P1s lock you into not switching the head unit. My 08 has the Dynaudio setup and overall sound is ok, can see why you might want to upgrade.

Re: SRS Controller Swap Question: 2002 S60
My dealership service department is idiots. I told them on my drop off paperwork to fix the code. They replaced the airbag but I was told I’d have to schedule another appointment to diagnose and fix the SRS code. I left a message and service writer never called me back. As a dealer that services a b...
