2007 Volvo C70 Dynaudio Upgrade

Yes HI I have a 2007 volvo c70 with a full dynaudio setup and I want to upgrade the speakers an amp to get more of a bump I was wondering if I can upgrade the 5 channel amp since I think the cable is an optical cable with a light on the connector and was wondering if i can cut it and put a different amp would it completely mess up the whole sound system. If it will break everything is there an amp that can use that exact connector that's more powerful.

May be worth looking at a powered subwoofer that ties into the existing speakers. Trunk space is obviously tight with the top down.

Unfortunate the P1s lock you into not switching the head unit. My 08 has the Dynaudio setup and overall sound is ok, can see why you might want to upgrade.
