Re: Low oil pressure S60, 2012, D3 163hp(120kw)

I would try to connect a mechanical pressure gauge to the oil system for independent reading of oil pressure. This would confirm low oil pressure without the sensor or electrical connections questions.

Re: Oil filter is doing its job.... FULL of sludge

Forgot to capture them in my excitement but i was wondering if that was what happened. The engine has always been pretty clean compared to others I have seen. Under microscope it looked like carbon deposits exclusively so no copper or bearing materials. It was maybe 10% full and there was a good amo...

And lift it 12xinches with big knobby tires……

It’s the I6 Mitsubishi engine. We drove one last time we bought in 2009 and liked it but BMW was giving away CPO cars then at0%

The E83 gave us 170k miles with minimal trouble, I’ll miss her.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

I rewarded myself for coming in well under budget on SWMBOs XC90, ( budgeted 15k, spent 11500 with travel and delivery ) … by having Munch auto do my nasty growler front right wheel bearing fir two hours of labor. It’s been growling since June/July 2024, about 6k ago. The old bearing feels all gritt...

Re: Weird Fuel Pump leak from top of housing?

The new pump flanges following the recall are made with a stronger POM plastic. The old parts are a standard natural/white color POM. The new parts use a dull yellow plastic that is BASF Ultraform POM C13031 XF for hot fuel application. I used this same POM for diesel fuel tank vapor vent valves. BA...

What does a stamp for a letter cost?
We can do that but a business can’t ship merchandise in a “ letter” ' technically. One would think a small cardboard envelope would make more sense.

Re: Aluminum wheel corrosion welded (?) to hub

Loosen wheel bolts, raise the car, slip a wheel chock inder the tire from the side, lower the car, done.
Especially effective when the car doesn't run.

Re: Check your Banjo PCV bolt

Krons wrote: 29 Mar 2025, 07:51 How many hours of work to replace the banjo bolt? Looks like access is removing the steering pump and removing with ratcheting box end wrench?

Asking as I know the PCV job is quite a chore.
Need to unbolt alternator and shift it to left as well.
