A note of appreciate for scott850
I want to thank Neil for his assistance in acquiring a part in Canada. He had posted a link in the classified section here and I contacted the seller via kijji. Settled on price but the money transaction was a problem from the US side as the seller had no way to get him the money. I contacted Neil t...

Re: Volvo's smallest EV is here... and it's inexpensive?
Offroad and EVs don't mix as well as every other activity. Running out of juice on a 4WD trail is a situation I hope to never find myself in.

Re: Preventing license plate rust and repairing a rusted plate
Cap nuts from Volvo have always rusted for me. I use stainless m6 cap nuts and stainless m6 washers. Bought 100 of each many years ago from McMaster-Carr e.g. https://www.mcmaster.com/products/cap-n ... ess-steel/. Each car in the fleet has 8 of each, no corrosion.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Took a therapeutic break from life and cleaned parts of the car with a steamer and some autoglym magma. Cleaned the formats, organized the loading area, and made the terra wheels shine.

Re: Questions about camshaft seals on a 02 V70XC
Drive with oil dip stick popped up, or the new seals will be blown out again. Avoid pushing it hard - the compression rings are worn, there's a lot of blow-by gasses entering the crankcase.

Re: Questions about camshaft seals on a 02 V70XC
In addition to the recommendation from vtl you can also cut a section of the oil cap seal temporarily to allow pressure to bleed off. May want a rag to catch any oil though as it could make a mess on the top of the engine. It will make a mess. The third cylinder intake camshaft lobe is right below ...

Re: DIY: 2005 XC90 2.5T Throttle Body Cleaning
I would add a big missing safety step if you are gonna clean from underneath. The starter is below the intake manifold along the block and it gets a hot wire. Get a piece of cardboard you can tape on to cover this so you don’t run the risk of catching your car on fire. Also, be careful because if yo...
