Re: Volvo Island - population now 2!
I guess i will never will be able to understand something like this. Car that is able to be fixed should be fixed and driven. Car that is DNR/DNI should go to the volvo Valhalla while supporting other Vikings with used parts. To imagine someone drove the car into the lake just for what? To contamin...

Re: Rusty Rockers
The rockers can get corroded on the back side as well. Check especially at the rear of the rockers in the area of the rear axle mounts. They can get really crusty there.

Re: 2007 XC90 Antiskid ASC yaw sensor box Repair
I sympathize with your problem. I don't have a 30667512 Yaw module but can pass on the following wisdom: Clean up the 4 pins of the module to remove the corrosion. -Use a cardboard nail file and cut it to size to reach the module's pins. -Get some electronic contact cleaner or IPA to rinse the pins....

I just watched a video on someone cleaning the contacts on the CEM following a sunroof drain leak. I still have to check that as they have had that issue. I'm not sure what in there could caus...

Re: Electrical issues questions - P1 C30
These engines are supported by engine mounts so removing the subframe is no big deal like most other FWD/AWD Volvos. I also have hoist and access to an ex-Volvo mechanic who owns 2 of these. I'm hoping he is able to find the part of the wiring harness I would like to replace which he thinks he has. ...

Re: Water noises in dash - 98 V70
Have you checked under the windshield wiper cover and that the drains in there are all clear? I might be wrong, but I think there are 4 drains in total. The 2 at the front of the cowl with the easily blocked rubber drain hoses help on by the PITA clips, but there are 2 others if I recall, one by the...

Re: 2001 V70 Not Included In Airbag Recall?
If the car was a personal import, it may not show up on the Volvo NA database as needing recalled. I have to repair a car here that was one of the kits built by Volvo in Halifax in Canada. That car had a weird Vin# that did not show up on Volvo's Canadian database strangely because of that. It did n...
