Re: 97 855R suspension: to renew nivomat or not?
You need new upper shock mounts, and you need "reinforced" springs. Nivos use a reinforced shock mount that won't work with other stuff. If the Nivos are shot, be prepared for the car to ride a little higher on the "regular" springs than where the old Nivos would have kept it. Yo...

Re: 96' 850 Fuel Pump Question
Short answer is yes, it'll fit. Long answer is that the price is horrendous, and you should just get the pump, without all the fixin's, unless you know its bad. Working with fuel soaked stuff is a PITA, but switching just the pump in is easy once it's all out of the car. I did it this winter, and sp...

Re: 850 2.5L 20 V Rescue
The 2.5 20V should be B5254S, which has the LH 3.2 Jetronic. I don't think there was a 2.5 20V with Motronic 4.3 - the first ones were the 2.5T with Motronic 4.4. Some 1996 models probably has Motronic, but it'll be 4.4, not 4.3.

Re: 99 s70 2.3T New Project Car
"And only run premium gas, lower octane fuel has been possibly linked to burnt valves." Could I get some feedback from several people on whether or not this is a generally agreed upon statement? I have a '99 T5 and use mostly regular octane gas in the USA rather than premium, so I'd like ...

21 means the paint’s made by Beckers, and it’s solvent based or metallic.

Re: Need help with strange issue
Upon further inspection the upper engine mount is basically gone. Dont have much hope of the other mounts being much better but too dark too tell. Can bad mounts really be the cause? Can they cause so much vibration it feels like a bad tranny or a dead cylinder? This was my first thought. My front ...

Re: Turbo control solenoid compatibility question.
I just got that one straight from the dealership as a replacement for my iPD HD one, which I managed to mangle...
Works great - I’d say it feels even sharper than the iPD unit. Pop it in there.

Re: 850 2.5L 20 V Rescue
I'm not sure what you mean by the pressure hose being blocked - did you get the connector off? If not, I found one of the threads I was thinking about: viewtopic.php?t=60329

Re: Spark Plugs: Copper vs Iridium vs Platinum FF#32
It's a little strange to see "keep it like it was made" in a Performance forum, where just about everything revolves around what we can do to make cars better, faster, stronger, etc. If there's new technology that can improve the life cycle, driveability, joy and fun of a car, why not use ...
