Re: 1996 Volvo 850 will not start in cold

abscate wrote: 10 Jan 2019, 12:12 I don’t think it is used at all on turbos though, is it?
I was talking about IAT...this isn't IAT.
I edited post to avoid confusion.

Re: '98 S70, 93k miles, intermittent Rough running and stalling

Disconnect Maf connector, start the car and test drive it.If problem disappears...Maf is bad.
Other than that...could be a HUGE vacuum leak or FPR failure.
But,let's go one step at a time...cheapest things first!

Re: 97 850 T5 Fuel, speed, and odometer not working.

Instrument cluster DTC are readable on both...OBD I and OBDII...except that obdII will need at least Vol-Fcr(special Volvo scan tool)...generic code readers will NOT work on anything other than ecu.

Re: Volvo S70 not starting - Hissing sound near fuel filter

Since the pump was running constantly...i would say that the "hissing" is just the fuel pump sound.

Another guess would be bad fpr which is failed internally, returning all fuel back to the tank all the time.

Late 850 with M4.4 like mine have the same setup.

Re: '96 850 Check Engine Light

Non turbo with auto transmission and in "D" idles at 1000rpm.
While in P or N it will be around 900rpm.
N/a manual around 900...Turbos a bit lower...around 800+-50.

Re: pitted brake disc

I always push pistons back in without loosening bleeding bolt...that's how they supposed to push back..otherwise you will let air in the line.

It's SERBIA!

'99 to '95 is ok as long as you keep the manifolds from '95 and cvvt unplugged.
'95 to '99 isn't possible because of cvvt.
